Yes there should be records. The Archivist for the Mpls/St. Paul
archdiocese is very helpful.

They tend to be backlogged and the DO charge for research services - I
think $10 per name but I'm not sure anymore. Ask him when you email. I
think they will also sell microfilms of the church records.
