That is a great idea. Unfortunately he was not in the Civil War. He was
born in 1812 so he was 60 years old at the time of the CW. Family history
has it that he lived into his 90's but I an thinking that he it makes more
sense that he lived into THE 90's - because he is nowhere to be found in
1900. The son (my great grandfather) that he had resided with is listed,
without Chauncey. There is nobody else he could have resided with at that
point.
But this is a great suggestion and I will file it for some of the other men
of the Civil War generation in my database.
