Here's the answer on the question about the name of the store on 84th and Lyndale from Patty. Someone did say Worldwide so whoever it was you won "Bragging Rights"----sorry no cash for this one!! lol.

Thanks everyone for helping out. Whew!! I can go back to digging up ancestors now!

I think the answer is WORLDWIDE Distribution Center. And, that is familiar to me, though I wouldn't have bet the farm on it. ( One of your friends did say Holiday Worldwide!!!) I called Holiday Companies in Bloomington and they had a company employee/historian call me back. He said in the late 50's he got a reel to reel tape player there. In the early 1960's it became Holiday Village. The store was known as something different in 1955, and that was with the Holiday name. So from 1955-to 1961 it was WORLDWIDE DISTRIBUTION CENTER.
