To all on the Hennepin County mail list:-

I received a Non-Resident census petition to assist with
the release of the Canadian 1911 census -- many thanks!

This petition is from a member of the Minnesota Genealogical
Society -- and basically from the Irish Genealogy Society
International meeting.

The address of the sender is basically the same as my uncle,
William Raymond Farquhar, now deceased as is his wife.
However, I have yet to learn about their daughter Martha,
born about 1923, possible surname Moekle, with children.

Bill S-18, An Act to amend the Statistics Act, has passed
Second Reading and the special committee meeting was only
about one hour in length. The Report will be given possibly
next Monday when Senate resumes, followed by Third Reading.

We are hoping for a swift passage to the House of Commons.

Should there be other Non-Resident petitions, the present time
is the only time these can be used -- so would love to receive them
