There are many books, and several sites on the internet that might have
information. What are the names of your great-grandparents?


I didn't get a copy of the first email I sent, that's why I sent it again!

My great great grandparents were William Henry Towle and Pamelia Besse
Towle. They arrived in St. Anthony from Monmouth, Kennebec County, Maine, in
1856. My great grandmother, Mary Ellen Towle, was born in April 1859 in Dayton.
I read somewhere that Franklin Steele's sawmill had fallen on hard times in
1857, which may be why the family moved on to Dayton, where there was also a
sawmill.
