Hi Claudia,

I don't believe there is a cemetery there named "South" Maple Grove either.
What is the time period for this cemetery? Now or before the turn of the
century? Was this a country cemetery (where someone who lived/died nearby was
buried) or was the cemetery associated with a specific religion (where s
omeone who attended the church -- no mattter where they lived -- was buried?)
Maybe more "speculative" research can uncover the correct cemetery.

A guess would be that this term might refer to one of the two early
cemeteries located in the southern sections of Maple Grove Township. I believe there
was one in Section 11, near the Methodist Church, and one in Section 29,
near the Catholic Church. They were there about 1890.
