I'm searching for information about my ggrandfather, Edwin Ellis b. abt.1853
VT.
He died while helping with farm work in Willmar, MN.
Edwin's family is like this:

Elizabeth b. 1819 VT married (?Harrison?) ELLIS
Their children:
1)William Harrison Ellis b.abt.1847 VT
William married Clara Patch born abt 1847 Maine
William and Clara's children: Sadie b.abt 1876, Cora b. abt1879 &
Charles F. Ellis b. 1881WI (there may be others)
2)John J. Ellis b. abt 1849 VT
3)Edwin H. Ellis b. abt 1853 VT
Edwin married Fanny Adeline Heminway and lived in Desoto, WI.
Edwin and Fannie's children: Milo Ellis b. 1881 d. 1883 WI & Pirl
Carl Ellis b.1885 WI?
4)Franklin Merrill Ellis b. abt 1857 VT
Franklin (Frank) Ellis married Elizabeth (?Runkel?)
Frank & Elizabeth's children: Florence Ellis b.1883 Dubuque,IA
(m.Owen) & Luella Ellis b.1892 IA (m. Northrup)

Elizabeth and her four sons were in Vernon Co, WI for 1870 census.
By the 1880 census, John J. had moved away and William was nearby with his
family.

Some records say my ggrandfather, Edwin H. Ellis was injured in a farming
accident while in Willmar, MN. Edwin was taken to Minneapolis, MN, where he
died. The year he died is in question, but it must be between 1887-1895.

I know there is a younger Edwin Ellis living in Willmar at that time and
wonder if there is any connection. I'm having a hard time tracing my Edwin,
as his son, Pirl Carl Ellis ran away from home, after his father, Edwin
died. Grandpa says his father, Edwin died when he was only 9 years old,
making (according to our family stories) the death of Edwin about 1894/5.

I'm hoping the Ellis people who lived in the Willmar area have descendants
who can tell me if we're related.
