Dear Mr Carlsson, I saw your Q on the answer to me from Anna Claxton about my relative Bertha Martinson Engquist.
I have got information and contacts with people around Minnesoota and from one I got to know about a bookk or Booklet called "Northome, Gemmel, Mizpag Book" or
"Koochiching Co Book"
I don't know who edited the book but I think that you may have contact with the local museum . I live in Stockholm Sweden so I can't help you so much. But I can tell you that Gemmel today is more or less a ghosttown. The timber-era is all and people have moved out and the houses are empty. I have seen a picture of the brick-school: empty and slowly being a "nothing-house". It is sad. But I have found my grandfathers unknown family and have got new relatives over there! And a grand-daughter of Bertha Martinson Engquist, bo visited Stockholm last month -isn't it great!
