Doug,
Just wanted to update you. The info I had on John Summers was wrong.
He died during the Sioux uprising of 1862 and is buried in the
Greenlawn Cemetery, at that time called the Traverse Cemetery.
He is in the Pioneer section.
Are you the Doug Peterson on the county site?
Noticed your last name, do you know any Peterson that married
Amy Summers ? They later left Mn. and moved to Palo Alto,
California.
