The Minnesota Historical Society has microfilm of most newspapers in the
state and makes them available for interlibrary loan to local public
libraries. Their library catalog can be searched by county and by city.
The main website is <http://www.mnhs.org/>, where you'll find free birth
and death cert indexes (and not the same as what Ancestry offers), as
well as a photo database, information on place names etc. A death
certificate typically has the place of burial on it.

If you don't find something at the Nicollet County Historical Society,
check with the MN Genealogical Society. They have compiled names of
contacts for cemeteries for many of them within the state.
