Hi Pat,
Your Hawkin's came from Norway also.
In the 1896 atlas of Norman County it says:

E.C. Hawkins Farmer and Steam Thresher Sec 20 Rockwell Township Twin
Valley
Born Norway, to America 1865, Norman Co. 1880

Henry Hawkins Farmer Sec 30 Halstad Township Born Norway, to Norman
County 1871

J.A. Hawkins Steam Thresher Sec 30 Halstad Township Born in Halstad
1874.
