A neighbor had come in the morning to help him build a stable and it was supposed that Hedland had gone into the woods to cut a stick of timber, but when he failed to return in an hour or so search was instituted and the dead body was found hanging near the shore of Union lake on the claim of a Mr. Jensen, his neighbor. When the wife was informed of the fact of her husband’s unnatural death she lost her reason, but with the assistance of the neighbors, cared for the until the 10th inst., when she too took her own life by cutting her throat and throwing herself into a ditch, where s!
