If you go by the phonetic pronunciation of Bjustad and use the spelling Bustad, there is one recorded death in Polk County. I don't know how she's related (could be a wife of someone), but if you need other people with the same names, remember that Polk County once encompassed other counties and try searches in those counties. You can also do a Soundex search on the MHS web site. I think I remember a Brustad name in that region, too, so you might need to try alternate spellings. Don't forget that the MHS birth certificate index is now also online. The last time I ran a records check it was up to something like 1926.

King Township is near (or encompasses) McIntosh.

There was a Bjustad family living in King Township, Polk Co., MN in 1910 -
This Gunvor is the same age as your Lawrence Knutson. It might be worth
contacting the local recorders office to see if there were some Bjustad
deaths after 1910 - it may have resulted in an adoption, and change of name
for your Lawrence. Good luck
