Hello,

I too was bilked by Jim. I met him while I was doing research in St. Paul
and hired him to do some more. Because he was articulate and seemed to be
an ok person face-to face I sent him a check for $300.00. He stalled, made
a few empty promises, then stonewalled my attempts to contact him by mail,
e-mail, phone and in-person attempts to visit. I spoke with a number of
people who knew him and was told he had done this to others. You are the
first two I have found who has shared my fate. He has been removed from a
number of researcher resource lists as a result of this type of behavior.
I recently sent him an e-mail that I'd not forgotten his fraud. Just a note
to let you know you are not alone.
