Dear Linda,
I don't have any cemetery listing for Redwood County but you might try the Redwood County Genealogical Society at

www.freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~corder/RCGS/

You can contact the webmaster and he may be able to help you. I did find something about a Stephen Russell in a book I have:

Redwood: The Story of a County by Wayne E. Webb, page 150 and 151:

"Baldwin township, named for Hial D. Baldwin, pioneer lawyer and probate judge of Redwood County, was created January 10, 1880: but the state auditor requested a different name, and Febuary 10, it was changed to Honner, for J. S. G. Honner. While still known as Baldwin, the township elected officers at a meeting January 24: Ener Birum, board chairman, Marion Johnson and Stephen Russell, supervisors;..."

There is also an entry on page 162 about several Russells at the Lower Sioux Agency in the 1870s:

"........Other Lower Agency businesses as revealed by the Gazetteer: salon, August Dietzman; mason, G. Dietzman; general stores, C. A. Knipple nd L. J. Russell; hotel, E. A. Knipple; cabinetmaker, L. B. Newton (also the pilot on the steamboat Gopher); banker, E. W. Paul; dressmaker, Mrs. C. E. Russell; harnessmaker, S. Russell; and blacksmith, James Stephens......."

I am connected to the Fisk family, originally from NY, then WI and finally Redwood County. Mary Fisk (dau of Charles and Lucy Fisk) married Lawrence J. Russell Apr 15, 1866 in Calumet County, WI. My Fisk family moved to Redwood County in 1869 but I think some of them stayed in WI. Lawrence J. Russell (b. m 5/1/1821 in NY) died in Redwood Falls 4/49/1907. He was 85 years old and had lived in Redwood Falls for 5 years prior to his death. I have other information about his children but no Stephen.

Any connection to your family? Hope some of this has been helpful.

I am trying to locate information on my great great grandfather, Stephen
Russell. Born 1827-NY He died 14 March 1906 in Redwood Co. MN. I would
like to know where he is buried. Does anyone have any information on the
cemeteries in Redwood Co. MN ? If so is there a listing for Stephen
Russell? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Linda
