Dear Cynthia,
My ggrandmother, Minna Liefer, came from Nienburg,Germany and settled in Hinsdale, Illinois. I have received info from a Liefer family in California who undoubtedly are relatives. According to them, my ggrandmother, Minna, had brothers, Henry, Ernest, Fredrich, and a sister, Lina. My ggrandmother was born in 1860. Do you think there is a connection to your Liefer family?
