I am a local historian from the Copper Country of Michigan. I have been tracking the Jilbert-Dower family from Cornwall in 1846 to Wisconsin, to Isle Royale 1850 to1853,to Eagle River, Mich. where Sampson married my g-grandamothers sister, to Rockland , Michigan 1858 to 1869, to Duluth, Minn and on to Staples and Dower Lake, Minn. I am leaving for Cornwall England and will do research on where Sampson Dower and the Jilbert family came from. They wil become part of a history book I am writing called " Vision From Albion Rock 1853 ". I have the complete history of the Dower-Jilbert family history. Keep in copntact with me.
