I have information for you of Lars Arildson. I was a neighbor for many year of his son, Norman.
Lars and his family moved to Sebeka in 1921 from Russel, in Southeast Minnesota. He was born in Sjelland, Denmark, on May 27, 1884. He came to the US in the spring of 1912 and settled near Russell. On April 8, he married Katie Paulsen, who was born in Kasota, MN, the daughter of Karen and Ole Paulsen. three sons were born to this marriage: Harvey, who died at 10 months, Norman and Clarence.
Lars was engaged in well drilling, plumbing, and heating, and was highly regarded by all who knew him. Of a pleasing personality, honest in all his business transactions, he won the respect and trust of all his friends and business associates.
Athe the time of his death, his 97 year old father in Denmark was thought to still be living, although the family was unable to contact him because of World War II occupation by Germans. Family members from two branches have since been able to visit their cousins in Denmark.

If you are interested in more information, I can put you in contact with Lar's granddaughter in Sebeka, via email. Just email me at the above address.
Thanks.
