I am searching for information on my JANTZEN line. Just this moring I was going through old photos and found several taken in Stillwater, MN at the Moore and Loomis photo studios. I have 3 tintypes as well. So I thought I had better start working on this line.

I am looking for information on Nels Jantzen and first wife Christona Olson. They had Freeman Jantzen in IA, Eliza Jantzen IA, Minnie Jantzen Stillwater,MN and Rosa Jantzen Stillwater, MN ( I think Rosa died in Stillwater as a child). I think that Christina Olson Jantzen may have died in Stillwater.

Nels was from Denmark and I think that Christina was from Norway. I think that Nels father's anme was Rolf of Denmark...

Nels remarried (in Stillwater I think) a Matilda (born in Denmark) and moved to WI where they had two children, then moved to OR where they had one child, then moved and finally settled in WA and two more children.

The photo from Loomis Studio has: Nels Jantzen, son Freeman, Daughter Minnie, Nels sister Christina and her daughter Bertha Strand. I would love info on the Strand as well. The other photos are from Moore Studio, one is a group shot of 5 children, they look like Nels Jantzen and his sister's children. The other three are tintypes of Christina Strand and her children...I would gladly share copies with any family members who wanted them...
