Well it appears we got out of Minnesota just in time. The day after we
left, the 29th, there was a cold rain that came in followed by freezing
rain and snow.

We made it home ok, besides having to drive through 50 miles of heavy fog
in northern Illinois. Not very pleasant at night.

While I was in Wilkin County I got to visit with the folks at the
Historical Society. There I got an update on obits, which I'll work on
updating in the coming weeks/months.

I also acquired on loan a 1949 plat book. So my offer is this - if you
wish to know if some relative of yours had land in Wilkin County in 1949
and can tell me what town to look in, I'll search and see if I can find
anything on them.
