Obit from "The Capital Journal" of Salem, OR dated 04/08/1960.

F.H. BANKE
Sheridan (Special) -- Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Adamson's
Sheridan Funeral Home for Frederick Herman Banke, 90, a resident of the
Sheridan area for nearly 40 years, who died her Thursday. Interment will
follow at Green Crest Memorial Park.

He was born March 13, 1870, in Minnesota, and was married Nov. 26, 1901, to
Emilie ADAMS (a.k.a Emeline "Emilie" Albina Adams), who survives.

They moved to Sheridan from Minnesota (Wright County, MN) in 1922. He
operated a small farm east of town and was a part time carpenter, until he
retired about five years ago and moved to Jefferson street. He was a lifelong
Lutheran.

Surviving, besides the widow, are three sons, Walter, Sheridan; Martin,
McMinnville; and Harry, Vancouver, WA; two daughters, Elma MELLEMA, Sheridan,
and Irene THOMPSON, Minneapolis, Minn; 18 grandchildren and 33
great-grandchildren, and five brothers in California and Minnesota.
