I just returned from a two week visit with cousins in Missouri, and
thought that I would pass along a "little" warning for those visiting
Missouri cemeteries. Wear long pants, boots if possible, and perhaps use
some insect repellant containing DEET on your pants and boots/shoes (I
would not suggest using it on bare skin - long term use may cause
neurological problems...trust me - I know!). Besides the ever present
ticks, there are chiggers - a very small insect that burrows into skin and
causes some SERIOUS itching. A hot shower and washing your clothes as soon
as possible should minimize problems. If you do come into contact with
chiggers, any drug store should have some type of chigger medication to
apply to the affected area. Just a suggestion.Mike
