Congratulations ! and what a lovely, thoughtful thing to do regarding the
crosses. (but I already knew you were thoughtful, or you wouldn't have gone
to all the trouble you have had with the stone.

Subject: [MO-CEM] moving the head stone
Up date on wanting to move my great grandfathers head stone from an
abandoned and lost cemetery.
I got the head stone moved Sunday. It really looks good in the new place
beside his daughter.
I did erect a wooden cross in the stones place. If anyone would like to see
the picture just let me know. The cross was beautifully done and placed
exactly where the stone was. Now the entire family can go to and enjoy
memorial day and not leave Great grandfather out.
I felt so good about the wooden cross that we are thinking of placing a lot
more on lost graves - I have another great grand father and grandmother that
passed in 1928 and no one has erected a stone for either. I think I will
have the cross made and we will take it there before Memorial Day. We plan
on contacting other family members and seeing if they have family they would
like a cross on.
I did this with an attorney and all legal aspects were met.
I am not sending this message to fire anyone up again just to let all those
that stood beside me know that it is done and I feel so much better.
