The only suggestion I can make is to scan the whole page with as high a
resolution as you can. Then use a photo editor to cut out each picture
separately and save. The other option is to isolate parts of the sheet and
scan it in sections if it is too big to scan in one pass on the scanner.
Good luck.

Ok Stacy
I am more than willing to drag the scanner with me . I am a pack rat
and still have the box to put it in . I really need to get a better lap
top to take along. I also found that I can take them to a photo shop
in Sioux Falls SD and get the bigger ones scanned to a disk. boy we
really need the-toys for this genealogy game don't we ??
What I need to know is .. HOW do you scan pictures when they are all
glued to the black paper pages of a album ? The few pages I had I was
willing to tear the sheet they where glued to as it is mine. But I have
a album made for my grand mother in 1917 by a friend and they list
names in silver ink and I can not think of tearing it apart. Also I
happen to have a album that belonged to my brother in law. with some of
the same writing .
Even if I have these pictures scanned how do we store them to save them
. In paper boxes or in plastic ?? . I took a 8.5 x 13 picture over and
got it scanned . It was done in 1917 it is so brittle around the edges
. This one I know the names on every one now to get it all written down
( Bosworth & George's )
Help me
Loretta
