FAG IS ACCEPTABLE on Find A Grave. I am the Volunteer Cherokee County Kansas Keeper. I and others use it there. When I use it on Message Boards and Mailing Lists I am directing people to where it is used.

It is three letters of the alphabet. A, F and G. They can be arranged in a number of ways. I am using all capitals. I am also using them ONLY when writing about www.findagrave.com . When speaking of Find A Grave, I say Find A Grave.

I was NOT and do NOT ever use them in lower cases letters as a word disparagingly toward any person for any reason. I also never refer to a cigarette with those same letters as a word.

When we see just a word, an acronym or abbreviations our minds supply the meaning. Mine says FAG is Find A Grave. If I see or hear it used as a word directed disparagingly toward any person, I also find it offensive.

There are many words that are spelled the same and sound the same, yet they have different meanings within the context of the words used with them. Their usage alone determines their meaning.

I find it very offensive to refer to Find-a-Grave as FAG can people please
find a different way of discussing Find-A-Grave. It is not difficult to
spell it out.
