A friend sent this to me. I will leave his name anonymous, but I thought
everyone might like the story.

On a slightly different note, I have to share this story with you as it
is the only time in my life I have ever seen what I think was a ghost. I am
not one of those people who see Sasquatch or UFO's nor do I speak with the
"other side", but one time down in North Carolina.......
I was working third shift at a company that chemically engraves printing
cylinders in Greensboro, North Carolina which is just a hop, skip and a jump
away from the Alamance Battlefield and is the sight of the Guilford County
Courthouse battle of Revolutionary days. Well the wife and I lived in
kernersville, NC and I was just drifting off to sleep one morning after
getting off work at 7:30 AM, and I know I wasn't asleep yet, just kind of
half way in between and I saw out of my half closed eyes, standing in the
door to my bedroom a tall figure dressed in gray. If the detail hadn't been
so graphic I might have taken it as a dream, but I knew it wasn't a dream as
I was not asleep yet. I became paralyzed with fear as the figure began to
walk towards me, very slowly. I noticed a red sash around his coat and gold
buttons down the front with gold braided shoulder boards and a saber on his
left hip with the handle facing forward for a right handed draw. There were
gold braids hanging of the bill of his wide brimmed hat and on his buckle
and hat were the pewter gray emblems of the CSA. His face was a shroud of
gray fog with a gray beard the only clearly distinguishable feature. I could
sense his eyes boring into me all though I couldn't see them. I was
frantically trying to awaken my wife but literally could not move. She
finally heard me groaning or moaning and came awake and saw me in what must
have looked like apoplectic shock and shook me awake and my friend from the
grave disappeared. I am convinced to this day it wasn't a dream but an
actual visitor from the other side. Whether he meant me harm or was only
trying to communicate I have no idea and didn't want to stick around to find
out. I have never known such terror, all consuming terror, in my life. I am
surprised I didn't wet myself. But take it for what it's worth, I'll never
be one of those people who pray to be given that second sight because I know
my heart couldn't take it. It was abject fear at it's best. So why did I
tell you this story Joey, I don't know, thought you might find it
interesting. have a nice day pal and keep the good stuff coming.
