Subject: [MO-CW] Dr. Larikin Wesley Hunt, surgeon in the Confederate Army
Date: Tue, 8 May 2001 21:27:42 +0200
Lilian Hays Oliver in her book: "Some Boone Descendants and Kindred of the St. Charles District" tells that my ggfather born at Louisiana, Missouri Oct. 18, 1836 enlisted as a surgeon in the Confederate Army and served with Capt. Dave Craig of Callaway Co., Mo., under the command of Gen. John, B. Clark. Dr Hunt was in the Battle of Moore's Mill, Callaway Co., Mo., on Aug. 28, 1862 and attended the wounded for four days and nights without sleep or rest. On Nov. 4, 1862, he was wounded an relieved of his duties by Gen. Clark.
Can someone give me more informations about the battle of Moore's Mill, Capt. Dave Craig, Gen. John, B. Clark? Were should Dr Hunt be wounded on Aug. 28,, 1962?
Thanks a lot.
Hunt Louise-Marie, rue d'Omerie, 3 7540 Kain Belgium.
