The Man Who Killed Lincoln***** by Philip Van Doren Stern. Published by The Literary Guild Of America, 1939. Hardback / History, 408 total pages with pictures. This is an excellent picture of John Wilkes Booth & the events concerning the Lincoln assassination. Philip weaves his story with some invented characters, but in the afterword, explains why & poses very interesting questions concerning the event. There is no ISBN number in my copy, which I picked up at a bookstore in Festus. It is from 1939 & I got it for $3.00! I'm sure there are later copies around. This is worth finding & reading!
