Fletcher House sets eighth Ghostwalk

The Jefferson County Parks and Recreation Department and the Gov. Fletcher House Foundation will sponsor the eighth annual Historic Ghostwalk at the Fletcher House, Highway BB and Elm Street in Hillsboro, from 6 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 25.

During the evening tour, ghosts from the past will explain life in the mid-1800s.

Scheduled spectral appearances include visits from Abraham Lincoln, Gov. and Mrs. Fletcher, Union and Confederate soldiers and area residents of the period. Children may ask questions. Donations will go toward preserving the Fletcher House. Call 636-797-5334.
