I could not find much:

3rd REGIMENT PROVISIONAL ENROLLED MO MILITIA INFANTRY.


Duty In District of Northwest Missouri at St. Joseph and in Henry and St. Clair Counties operating against guerrillas.


Source of Data: "A Compendium of the War of the Rebellion, V.III" by Frederick H. Dyer, c1908, p.1323.

Search for information on the regiment, not the company. The Missouri State Archives would be the place to start. Do you have hard evidence that the widow applied for or received a pension?

I have a descendant who was married to a a soldier who was in Co. B, 3d
Pro. Enlisted Missouri Militia. Would I send a request to Missouri, or to
Nat'l Archives for the widow's pension record. Also, where on the web would
I find info about this company. I have searched all over and can not find a
site which gives any details.
I have a feeling I asked for this same information several months ago.
However, I can not find the answer among my stuff.
