GENTRY COUNTY REGIMENT HOME GUARD INFANTRY. Return to Index
Organized by authority of Gen. Lyon June, 1861 and accepted into service by General Pope, commanding in Northern MO, and were engaged in scouting and performing guard duty along the line of the Hannibal and St. Joseph Railroad, and also participated in the battle of Blue Mills September 17, and performed duty in the counties of DeKalb, Clinton, Caldwell, Buchanan, Gentry, Worth, Clay, Andrew, and Platte, from August to October, 1861 when mustered out.
