I am looking for information on Benjamin F Smith. He was born in Tennessee abt 1827.
The family moved to Sullivan Co, MO after 1850 .
His parents were Fredrick & Hannah Smith. Fredrick died abt 1853 in Sullivan Co, MO.
His mother died about 1864 in Sullivan CO., MO.
It is my understanding that Benjamin was in the Civil War. I believe he enlisted in Sullivan Co, MO. I found where his wife, Anne Privitt & his daughter, Nancy Johnson had applied for a pension. I do not know if they received any. I am not positive when he died, I'm thinking possible Fall of 1869.
I don't know if he was married before marrying Anne.
If anyone can help me with the details of his life. I'd appreciate it.
