Suzanne, I believe you are looking for Jefferson Barracks Cemetery. If you go to their website they have information there that can help you determine if there is a marker. Good luck!

Supposedly my relative died in St Louis on the way to the battle of
Shiloh and is buried at National Cemetery. How do I find out where and
if he was given a marker of some kind.
