Hi all,

We have a nice collection of headstone photos going. We now have 44 photos
of veterans graves and it is growing steadily. Thanks to each of you that
have sent in photos to add to the pages so that researchers in other states
will have the opportunity to see the actual headstones of their Civil War
Ancestors. We have 2 pages of headstone photos, one for the ones that fought
for Missouri and a page for people that fought for other states that are
buried in Missouri:

I have also added a page of volunteers that have offered to go out to
cemeteries in their areas to find and photograph Civil War Veterans for
everyone:
http://www.mogenweb.org/mocivwar/mostwanted/volunteersmostwanted.htm

As well as a page to list your requests for headstone photos:
http://www.mogenweb.org/mocivwar/mostwanted/feb2009.htm

Won't you please consider taking some photos of Civil War Veterans
headstones to aid other researchers, or contribute any photos you might have
of your own Civil War ancestors headstones? These are a great way for
researchers to prove Military service as well as finding out what happened
and where their ancestors ended up.

I am looking for North Carolina Civil War veteran headstones so if anyone
happens to run across any from NC I would greatly appreciate any photos you
could send, as well as I will go out in the area I live in and take photos
to add to the site and to send to researchers as well.

Remember if you do take photos please send the name of the cemetery the city
and/or county and state it is located in.

So, if you have any photos or would like to volunteer to go out and take
photos please let me know so I can get you added to the volunteers page, or
send your photos to me and I will get them added to the site.

Again, thanks to everyone that has sent in photos and volunteered so far,
researchers everywhere will greatly appreciate your time and contributions!
Diane
