Subject: [StL-Metro] Circuit Court Naturalizations to be on line at SLCL
Date: Thu, 02 Jan 2003 22:06:58 -0600
Here is a paragraph from an e-mail I received from Joyce Loving, the
manager of the Special Collections Unit of the St. Louis County Library:
"I hope you will find some of your ancestors in our naturalization index as these records are a gold mine. We will be loading the circuit court records in a day or so. These are a different court and therefore start back in 1906. We found out that people were using our index, not finding their people and giving up, when there is actually another court and a whole other set of records. So we started indexing them and will work on both circuit and district courts at the same time. The circuit ones we are about to load are the 1906 time period.
Sincerely,
Joyce Loving"

I know that they are working on getting Naturalizations on line. I would definitely bookmark the web page and then remember to click "reload" or "refresh" after you reach the page. The page is here:

If you want to see what the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS-Mormons) Family History Library has on St. Louis Naturalizations, click the URL below - it's a long one, so you might have to copy and paste it into your browser. St. Louis County Library Headquarters branch can get the microfilms for you.

For those people who can see imbedded links in your browser click here instead of above. <http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/fhlcatalog/supermainframeset.asp?display=topicdetails&subject=381337&subject_disp=Missouri,_St._Louis_%28Independent_City%29_-_Naturalization_and_citizenship&columns=*,180,0>
