As most of you old timers know, I wrote the McQuillen
Saga almost four years ago. Since that time I've
received hundreds of emails about the story. Now I need
help in finding a picture for a guy who is writing a
story for a magazine. Here is what he requested of me:
- ---------------------------------
Hi Jim,

I'm doing research on 1920's/1930's dance bandleader
Tommy Christian. Tommy Christian & His Orchestra was the
resident band for the Mounds Country Club Casino in East
St. Louis, IL from September 21, 1929 through October 3,
1930. Would you possibly know if there's any photos that
exist of Tommy Christian & His Orchestra at the Mounds?

A photo of Tommy and his band at the Mounds would
complement the article I'm preparing for the Vintage
Jazz & Blues Mart Newsletter. Perhaps there's a photo of
Tommy Christian at the Mounds as musical director for
Sophie Tucker's Thanksgiving Day 1929 appearance? Thank
you.

Sincerely,

Jerry Rothstein

By any chance does anyone have any pictures of the
Mounds Club in any of their albums or just laying around
somewhere?----Jim
