Subject: German St Vincents Orphan Home
List,
I have a relative who was in the German St Vincent's
Home for Children in
the 1910 Census. I cannot find her name indexed in the
1900 Census so I
have been trying to locate St Vincent's in the 1900
Census to look page by
page, but I can't find it anywhere. In 1910 it was in
the 4th Ward,
Enumeration District #53, but I believe this was a new
address for it at
1421 Hogan. It moved there in 1909. Before that it was
at 20th and Cass.
Basically what I need is does anyone know what ED 20th
and Cass was in in
1900? Her name was Catherina Szalkowska and I believe
her father was my
great grandmother's brother, so leads on him would take
me back the next
generation.
Thanks,
Judy
