Hi Everyone,

I'm new here. I joined about 2 weeks ago or so. It's very very interesting
here and I'm so glad I joined :)

My Grandmother was in an Orphan's home from about 1910-1919. She always told
me her grandmother put her in the Orphan's home right after her mother died,
because she was too old to care for her and her two siblings. My Grandma
told me it was a Baptist Orphan's home near Shaw's Garden's.

Does this place ring a bell with anyone? I have no idea where to start
looking. My Grandmother was so vague about the detail of things. She told me
lots of things in her life but never details enough to find anything. Her
name was Ida Mae Roderman at that time. She was born in 1901 in Potosi and
of course no birth certificate is found for her.
