Subject: Kentucky to Missouri

Seems like a lot of families moved from Kentucky to Missouri. Is there
anyone on the list who is familiar with the migration patterns of the 1800's
that can explain this? I suspect that as the govt. opened up more land for
settlement, people were eager to move and get cheaper land. If there is a
book someone could recommend I would love to have the title.
