Many counties published "Histories of ---- County" around 1880 - 1900. Does
Adair County have such a book? Is there anyone who lives in Adair County who
would be willing to do a look-up for me?

Specifically - John McKenney/McKinney and his wife, Nancy, moved to Adair
County between 1850 and 1960. John died there in 1871 and Nancy late in
1880. Both are buried in Moots Cemetery. Many of their children were married
in the county and continued to live there. It is possible that one of the
McK*nneys might be mentioned in such a history book. The two sons' names
were (1) William McK*nney and (2)Andrew McK*nney. The daughters' names were
(1) Mary Jane (McKenney) Harris (2) Susannah (McKenney) Swinford (3) Rebecca
(McKenney) Collop/Colup and (4) Louisa C./Theresa C. McKenney. Any marriage
unknown.

The second possibility is that there could have been obits for either John
or Nancy. Especially for Nancy since she died when long flowery obits were
becoming common. Is there anyone in Adair County who would be able to find
such information for me. I would (of course!) be willing to pay! I live 2000
miles away and just don't think I'll be anywhere near Missouri in the near
future. Any help would be so much appreciated.

Thank you so much.
