Subject: [MOAndrew] BILLMIRE STUART
Date: Thu, 17 Oct 2002 10:22:01 -0500
Ginny, Pat and anyone else interested:
I am fascinated by all the interwoven Billmire, Fisher, Brooke and Stuart lines, and am trying to update my database as quickly as the information comes in.
There is a Thornton BILLMIRE (and family) on the 1870 census of Andrew co. Does either of you know how he fits into the picture?
Also, there is a John W. STUART (1856-1942) and his wife, Mary E. (1859-1923) buried at Weathermon Cemetery near Guilford, Nodaway Co., MO. I realize that this could be another couple, but Mary's date seems to be close to your Mary Elizabeth Jane BROOKE. However, I did think (not positive, but have some clues) that this John STUART was the son of a widowed Nancy (from KY) who was on the 1880 census of Nodaway Co., Union Twp. He was born in Iowa. If either of you is pretty sure that this is not the right Mary E., please let me know, because I don't want to make the mistaken connection in my database.
Monica
