Hello,

The name Wachtel caught my eye.... has it ever been Wachter?

Andreas and Erhard Wachter were witnesses to the marriage of Josef
Kemmerling and Mathilda Einhart in Chicago (8 days after they got off the
boat in NY!!!). Mathilda's sisters married Hoffelmeyers and settled in
Andrew County, Missouri.

I have wondered what the relationship of Wachter to my Kemmerling/Einhart
line...

Anyone know?
