"Married-- On the 14th inst., in Atchison county, Mo., by the Rev. Elias Findly, George W. Woolsey, and Miss Mary Caroline, daughter of Gilbert Woolsey Esq."

Date of death: 29 Sep 1852 & 7 Oct 1952

Subject: Susan (Swain) Howell & Elizabeth (Howell) Pendleton

"Died-- Sept. 29th, 1852, at the residence of Mace Pendleton in Andrew county, Mo., of flux, Mrs. Susan Howell, late consort of James Howell, in the 85th year of her age.

"Also, at the same place, of the same disease, on the 7th Oct., 1852, Mrs. Elizabeth Pendleton, consort of Mace Pendleton, and daughter of Mrs. Howell, aged 55 years.

"They have left a large circle of relations and friends to mourn their loss. But their sorrow is not that of those who have no hope; for they had both for many years been lively members of the Methodist Episcopal Church; and died in the triumphs of faith.

"'Blessed are they that die in the Lord; From henceforth they shall rest from their labor, and their works do follow them.'"

[These are the last of the Sentinel reports. I'll start on the North West Democrat 1856-7 when I'm sure my server is cooperating. Monica]
