Does anyone have any information on the Benight family in Andrew or Buchanan Counties?

I have pictures of John and Maud. Dad always spoke of Uncle Wade Benight. Of course they may be no relation to my family since my grandfathers who were Missourians were called Uncle Charlie and Uncle John. Family history said that John Benight shot and died. Did not say that he was murdered. Do not have a time frame on that or if it was true.
