Well, I finally got the obituary on a g-g-aunt of mine, Alice LeMASTER and
am hoping you can shed some light on her and the family.

Sarah Elizabeth ELLIS married Samuel LeMASTER in Barry county (probably
Monett) around i1875 and had Alice (b. 1876) and Oda (b. 1879?)
LeMASTER. Samuel LeMASTER is no longer in the picture in 1885 when Sarah
E. LeMASTER marries W. N. JAQUESS. They raised Alice and Oda together until
W.N. (William Nathaniel, we believe) abandoned Sarah around the 1890's,
leaving Sarah with two sons by their marriage, Millard Nathaniel and James
Oscar JAQUES. According to Alice's obituary, she was born in Barry county
MO, married Andrew J. "Jack" SHACKLETT, who was employed by the Southern
Missouri Railroad. They lived, as did Alice's sister Oda, in Wichita Kansas.

Oda LeMASTER married William Kenneth SAMPLE in 1920? in Wichita. Both
sisters lived in Wichita and died there. Do you have any information on
them, Samuel LeMASTER or the SAMPLE , JAQUESSor SHACKLETT lines?
