Good Morning: Our featured photo this week one of George Reed and his family
Our thanks to Georgia Farwell and Darla Ball for making this one available
to us. The photo is one of Georgia Farwell's photos but came to me through
Darla Marbut. Darla and Georgia have a Ball connection to the people in the
photo and George's wife, Sarah. She was one of their grandparents.

George Reed was a step-grandparent to Darla and Georgia. I have added some
notes on the page that you might be interested in reading. George Reed died
in 1921 and was buried in Munsey Cemetery by his second wife Sarah Elizabeth
(Garrett) (Ball) Reed. Sarah died in 1936. His first wife, Narcissa West,
was buried in Old Haddock Cemetery near Eagle Rock.

Sarah's children from her first marriage, to William Valentine Ball, as I
mentioned above, are the grandparents of Georgia and Darla. And to
complicate the story, George Reed was a step-brother to one of my
grandparents, America Simpson.
