Good Morning: I noticed an entry for a person named Thelma Olson who was
listed by a researcher as buried in Monett IOOF - stating her death in April
2002 per Monett Times.

After doing some checking, I learned that the City of Monett did not have
her listed as buried in IOOF and the obit didn't list that she was buried
there either. In fact, it didn't state where she was buried at all.

I have removed this person from our files - but will be glad to add her back
if anyone has some documentation of her correct burial place. She died in
Texas but must have been brought to Barry County for burial.

You might want to check out IOOF if you haven't been on those pages for
awhile. The last few days, I've been going through the obits, death
certificates and the city's files, comparing notes and trying to clean up
mistakes that researchers have posted on our IOOF pages.

Please double check your work when you post information to our temporary
pages. Mistakes in names, dates and where people are buried may seem minor
to you - but to the researcher who is trying to find their ancestors - it's
major.
