I live in Kansas City and recently, there have been articles in the local papers about people who interview retired military or persons who served in the wars. As I understand it, they make an appointment, then have a general discussion just to get comfortable with the person they are going to interview -- get them talking about themselves -- and then they either videotape the discussion or tape record it, trying to do so in an atmosphere wbere everyone is comfortable and the person is not really aware of the taping. kind of a general chat type situation.

Barbara, Tell me more about your visiting seniors and the shoebox. I go
into senior facilities every week to do a musical program. Your are right
in that there are seniors who have no one to visit them. Also, there are
seniors whose memory is good and some that aren't.
I guess my question is how do you do this? I have thought about something
similiar but didn't know how to put it together.
