The place, I beleive your grandmother was refering to is Miller County, Mo. where Dr. Evan Burks was born, the son of William Warner and Louisa Short Burks. He is listed with his parents in the 1860 census of Miller County, Mo., family 400 Richwoods Township. I have more on Dr. Evan if you would like to contact me.
