If you are researching the Breshears you should try to find a copy of Carmen
Collins, Breshears, Jordan and Ethridge Families in Missouri, published in
1990. According to her, the Breshears went to Benton County, Missouri and the
Breshears Valley in the 1830s. Several years ago in a conversation she told
me her book was a social history.
I'm not sure if it's still available, but she gives extensive genealogy and
history on these families. Someone on the Benton or Hickory County Lists
would probably know. My interest in it is the Jordans. My great great
grandfather was Campbell Jordan.
